"Go? So fast?"asked Hyun Joong.
"Yes. Come on!"said Candace.
Just then, Candace phone rang.
"Hold on,"said Candace who went out to answer the call.
"Hello?"Candace said to the phone.
"Em... Is this Candace? Its dad,"said Mr Lee.
"Dad? Oh. So... Everything ok at home?"asked Candace.
"Yes. I just want to..."said Mr Lee, just then, a car on the road horned.
"Candace? Are you outside? I can hear car noises,"said Mr Lee.
"Yeah... I'm..."before Candace finished, Mr Lee said,"Outside? Candace, i did not pay you to go to Korea to go out shopping..."before Mr Lee can finish, Candace shouted,"i'm not out shopping! I'm going out to learn Gayageum!"
"Gaya what? I don't care what you're learning. All i want is results. If there is no results, you can forget about your allowance,"said Mr Lee.
"What?! Dad, stop being unreasonable! You want results? I'll give you results! You just wait and see,"shouted Candace who hung up the call angrily.
"What am i going to do? Dad wants results and i how am i going to give him? Ugh! I can't believe i'm doing this, but, i'm going back in,"thought Candace.
(Back inside the learning centre.)
"Hey! Em. Listen, i believe you're Chae Rim right?"asked Candace turning to the girl.
"Yes,"said Chae Rim.
"I need a favor, can i see teacher again?"asked Candace.
"Huh? Again? But you just..."said Chae Rim.
"I know... Please? Help me out. Please?"asked Candace.
"Em. Ok. I'll try,"said Chae Rim walking back into the room.
Hyun Joong is lost in his world... again.
"Kim Hyun Joong Jerk Oppa!"shouted Candace.
"What?! Don't shout so loud!"said Hyun Joong.
"Why are you always lost in your own world? What are you thinking about?"said Candace.
"Nothing!"said Hyun Joong.
"Come on! Say!"said Candace trying to tickle Hyun Joong while he try to hold her back.
"Ahem. Sorry to interrupt again,"said Chae Rim.
"Oh,"said Hyun Joong quickly letting go of Candace hands.
"Sorry, but teacher say she does not want to see you. I'm sorry,"said Chae Rim.
"What?! I want to see her!"shuoted Candace.
"I'm sorry, you can't,"said Chae Rim.
"I'll go in myself,"said Candace.
"Wait, no..."said Chae Rim.
But Candace already walked in.
Chae Rim said to the teacher,"i'm sorry teacher, i told her but..."
"Its ok, you can go,"said teacher to Chae Rim.
Candace was alone in the room with teacher not knowing what to do.
At last, teacher said,"Sit down."
"I don't need to greet you first?"asked Candace.
"You learn fast child, but just sit down,"said teacher.
Candace sit down carefully.
"Child, if you're going to learn Gayageum its not going to be easy. The first impression you gave me isn't very good. I don't think this is suitable for you,"said teacher.
"Please teacher, i really wan to learn. I'm from Singapore and i had learn it before!"said Candace.
"Are you sure you want to learn Gayageum?"asked teacher.
"Yes. I'm sure,"said Candace confidently.
Teacher nodded and said,"Before you can learn Gayageum, you have to learn to be patient. If you can just stay here not doing anything until i tell you can go, i'll teach you. If you're not willing, you can leave,"said teacher.
Candace thought hard whether to except the challenge. She never last a minute not doing anything.
"Ok. I'll wait here,"said Candace,"But can i see Kim Hyun Joong? The guy outside? I need to talk to him. Please? Just for a minute,"said Candace.
Teacher nodded and walked out.
Hyun Joong walked in and asked,"Whats wrong?"
"Listen, i need to stay here until teacher say i can go,"said Candace.
"What? What if you starve? I brought you here, what if something happen and i need to be responsible! Whats wrong with her?!"exclaimed Hyun Joong.
"Shh! Not so loud! Please help me to tell Selena i will be back late... or maybe not going back at all. What i mean is, just tell her i'm ok and i'll be back... late,"said Candace.
"You sure you will be ok?"asked Hyun Joong.
"Yes. Don't worry. You can go back. I'll just take a cab home,"said Candace.
"Child, you one minute is up,"said teacher.
"Go!"Candace whispered to Hyun Joong.
Hyun Joong left while trying to make sure Candace is alright.
Seeing Hyun Joong left, Candace sat alone in the empty room with nothing to do.
A few hours has past and the sun has set.
Candace start to feel sleepy and feel her stomach growling.
Its 8pm and Candace is getting really frustrated.
Her legs are numbed again, seeing no one is around, she walked around the room and opened the wardrobe and saw a beautiful Gayageum.
She took it out and put it on the floor. Checking that no one is around, she played her favorite song. Engrossed in playing her song, she didn't notice that teacher was actually watching her.
After she played finished, she turned and saw teacher looking at her.
"Ah!"Candace shouted. "Sorry teacher, my legs are numb and..."
Before she can finish, teacher asked her,"Are you hungry?"
Shocked by teacher's reaction, Candace did not know what to say.
"Chae Rim!"teacher shouted up the stairs.
"Yes teacher?"said Chae Rim rushing down.
"Cook her noddles and get her some blanket and pillow,"said teacher.
"I... er..."Candace still did not know what to say.
"Yes teacher, i'll do it now,"said Chae Rim.
A few minutes later, Chae Rim brought in a bowl of noddles in one hand and another taking a blanket and pillow.
"Let me help,"said Candace running towards Chae Rim.
"Thank you so much!"said Candace.
"You're welcome! Quickly have your dinner and go to sleep, rest well!"said Chae Rim.
"Thank you!"said Candace.
Candace ate the noddles and she slept on the floor.
Its was 5am, Candace left a note saying 'Thank you very much for the bowl of noddles, Chae Rim! And teacher, sorry i have to leave without saying goodbye but i need to rush home as i'm afraid my room mate might worry. Thanks for letting me stay over night! ' and Candace left.
When she step out, she saw a familiar car.
Its Hyun Joong's!
He never left yesterday and waited for for Candace.
"Is that Hyun Joong sleeping in his car?"thought Candace.
She went forward and knock on the car door.
Hyun Joong woke up dizzily and saw Candace, he unlock the door and Candace went in.
"What are you still doing here? You should have gone back!"said Candace.
"I can't leave you here. I was going to call the police if she didn't let you out,"said Hyun Joong.
"Haha! Very funny,"said Candace.
"I'm serious. I was really worried,"said Hyun Joong.
"Worried? You're worried for me?"said Candace happily.
"Yeah. You are like my little sister you know? I'm oppa, remember?"said Hyun Joong.
"Oh. Right. Little sister..."said Candace disappointedly.
"Yeah. Let's get you home,"said Hyun Joong.
"Ok..."said Candace still disappointed.
Seeing Hyun Joong is still half awake, Candace feel that its not very safe for him to drive.
"Why don't you stop the car here? Its dangerous to sleep while you drive,"said Candace.
"I'm not asleep!"said Hyun Joong.
"Really? Then name all SS501 member's name,"said Candace.
"Oh. There's you know... and..."murmured Hyun Joong.
"Come on, just stop your car there before you get me killed in a car accident,"said Candace.
"Fine. But its a 10 minutes walk to your home,"said Hyun Joong.
"Its ok. I can manage,"said Candace.
"I'll just park my car here and walk you home,"said Hyun Joong.
"Walk me home? Oh My God! Don't couples always kiss goodbye when they walk home? I don't have a breathe freshener! And i did not brush my teeth yet! Oh My God! Oh My God! Wait, am i crazy or what? We're not a couple! Crazy! Crazy!"thought Candace.
"Hello? You always say i'm in my own world, what about you, thick-skinned kid?"asked Hyun Joong.
"What? Did you just call me a thick-skinned kid? Oh. You're going to get it jerk oppa!"said Candace.
"Not going to catch me!"said Hyun Joong running out of the car.
"Haha!" Candace run out of the car too.
Candace was chasing Hyun Joong happily and both of them are laughing and having fun at the time.
Candace thought,"Oh My God! Is this like those in the Korean dramas that couples are having fun chasing each other? Haha! Wait, don't be crazy! We can't be coup..."
Just when Candace was crossing and running across the road, when she was about to reach the other side of the road where Hyun Joong is, she turned and saw a car was coming towards her, the car horned and...
